Make a potholder or oven mitt: Students will complete a 9” square or round potholder/hot pad OR an oven mitt. Bring your own sturdy cotton in your choice of color or use fabric we have on hand.

Skillset: Piecing one or both sides, quilting with Insulbright, and attaching a bias binding.

Supplies: You may bring your own sturdy cotton and extra-wide double-fold quilt binding in your choice of color - or use fabric we have on hand which may or may not coordinate to your satisfaction.

Sew What?! classes are designed to add new sewing experiences to your skill set, not to teach you to sew. Please attend one of the monthly Sewing Certification class sessions to begin your sewing adventures. If you prefer to bring your own machine from home for use in the class, feel free, but please bring along your manual.

Teacher: Catherine Carr

Catherine is a retired public school teacher with 60 years of sewing experience.
