Welcome to Blue Hands Club! *
Are you new to indigo and looking to expand your experience? Or have you attended a Blue Hands Festival during the summer and are interested in learning more?
Blue Hands Club is a more intimately guided gathering allowing for those new and those familiar with indigo dyeing to increase their learning. Blue Hands Club meets on the 2nd Friday of each month so join us to play in our indigo vats, learn a special technique for the evening, and enjoy the camaraderie with others. Discover what fellow participants create and share in the joy of making something unique for yourself!
What to bring?
If you are new to indigo dyeing, bring in your own natural fiber items. Bring in an old pair of pants or dress that needs a little pick me up or bring in items such as t-shirts, tea towels, pillowcases. Past participants of either the Blue Hands Festival, Blue Hands club or shibori classes are invited to bring in pre-prepared items to dye. Items DO NOT need to be white, they can be colored cloth or clothing, however they DO NEED to be natural fibers such as cotton, linen, hemp, bamboo, or silk.
What is Blue Hands Club?
Blue Hands Club is not specifically a class; it’s time for a focused practice supporting more purposeful play. It's a fun and educational way to spend your Friday night. Come on in, we do all the work, you have all the fun to make it beautiful and have an excitingly creative evening at the MAC!
How Much is it?
Blue Hands Club at the MAC has a sliding scale for those who need a little help and for those who want to give a little back. Not interested in either? No Worries!
