Pillow 'Posh'ing
Students bring a used throw pillow (washed and sun-dried, with or without original covering) from home or a thrift shop. Bring sturdy outer cover fabric of their choosing (again washed and dried preshrunk) or find some here. A new removable cover will be created using various techniques.
Skillset: basic math of pattern-making, piecing, and assembly. Additional techniques may be used: appliqué with fusible, embroidery, quilting, simple smocking, etc.
