Artist Statement Brie Varney is an oil painter who uses geometric shapes and lines to explore landscapes and still life subject matter. Her “stained glass” approach is locally known and is consistent with her need to rationalize and simplify the world. Artist Bio Brie’s work has been exhibited in several galleries throughout the Colorado Springs area. Her artistic influences include Vincent van Gogh, Jacoba van Heemskerck, Larisa Aukon, and Piet Mondrian. |
