Sew What?! classes are designed to add new sewing experiences to your skill set, not to teach you to sew. Please attend one of the monthly Sewing Certification class sessions to begin your sewing adventures. Also, if you prefer to bring your own machine from home for use in the class, feel free, but please bring along your manual.

Foundation Paper Piecing: Students will choose a paper pattern from a large collection and sew fabrics onto it for a finished image or pattern that may then be included in a quilt, used as a replacement pocket, made in multiples and used as a pennant- bunting, part of a hot pad/table topper, or quilt square.

Skillset: 3-D thinking, precision sewing, ‘fussy-cutting’

Supplies: bring a collection of fabrics that ‘read’ as solids/tone-on-tone - or use some of ours.

Teacher: Catherine Carr

Catherine is a retired public school teacher with 60 years of sewing experience.
