This class is open to:
Middleschoolers, High Schoolers and Adults (Under 18s must be supervised by an adult)
I will cover the basics of forging and hot shop safety. You will get to hammer on hot steel to get a feeling of how metal can be shaped with hammer and anvil. I will pass on resources for blacksmith learning (books, videos).
I will certify you once you are comfortable using the equipment. This may take more than one class depending on your level of experience.
Learning Outcome:
Understand blacksmithing basics and safety. Learn how steel can be shaped with heat and tools.
Supplies:
Wear non-synthetic clothing (i.e. cotton) and close-toed shoes. Bring eye protection if you have it available.
