This interactive workshop is designed to guide participants through the art of Moth-Style Storytelling, where they will learn to craft compelling, personal narratives in an intimate, authentic manner. By focusing on personal experiences, emotions, and key moments of change, this workshop will help individuals uncover and articulate stories that resonate with audiences. The final session will culminate in a live performance at The Manitou Art Center open mic or showcase. What Participants Will Learn: Story Structure and Development: Participants will learn how to structure a story with a clear beginning, middle, and end, creating a narrative arc that is engaging and emotionally compelling. The Art of Personal Storytelling: Emphasizing personal truth and experience, participants will discover how to craft stories that reflect their unique voice while also connecting with universal themes. Building Tension and Emotion: They will learn techniques to create emotional depth and tension, holding an audience’s attention from start to finish. Editing and Refining: Participants will receive guidance on honing their stories, focusing on clarity, conciseness, and impactful moments. Stage Presence and Performance: In preparation for the final performance, they will practice voice modulation, body language, and audience engagement to bring their stories to life on stage.
