In this course we will explore the fundamentals of making raku and horsehair pottery. A refined and colored slip called Terra Sigillata will be used for horsehair pottery and the pieces will be burnished and sealed with tile sealer. Both of these types of pottery are not foot safe, i.e. it is purely decorative in nature. If you would like to make functional work in this course you are free to do so, but you may have to come a different day or time to come glaze as the conclusion of this class will be based on watching and learning how to finish our pots in the raku kiln.
